Your custom split canvas prints are handmade to order at the Contrado studio in London. A team of skilled craftsmen and print technicians work together to print and create your 2 piece wall art. The thick woven canvas is printed with your original designs. The water-based inks are infused into the fibres, bonding them and creating a print that will not peel away. The fabric is cut to size and hand-stretched over FSC wooden frames. The frames are given a robust finish thanks to our mounting and construction methods, which will last you a lifetime. Wall fixtures are included along with a hanging order, so installation of your 2 piece wall art could not be any easier.

The sizes listed in the design interface show the overall size of the full canvas installation, as well as the breakdown of the two canvases incorporated in the final design.

What are they made from?

Your canvas is made by hand using the finest materials. Made from a strong, thick and durable woven canvas, that is an ideal surface for printing on. Colours are strong and vibrant and details and fine lines are clear and sharp. The frames are made from FSC approved wood, and the canvas fabric is stretched over this before being mounted.

What does a diptych mean?

This refers to a multiple-canvas split into two parts; so a two-canvas work of art. Traditional versions do not usually display a series of images that go together, but instead, a single composition that has been stretched over two canvases and split. This creates a single artwork made of smaller parts.
