Bespoke Leather Accessories
Leather has been used to make various accessories since as early as 2,200 BC - possibly even earlier than that. This may cause you to think that we are still using antiquated techniques and processes to make your custom leather accessories, but if that's the case then you couldn't be more wrong. Leather tanning methods have been updated, as have many of the other processes used in creating the leather, and here at Contrado we use the most up-to-date technology when we are printing on leather material.
We also stock a vegan-friendly leatherette which you can use to create your own custom leather accessories. Our printing methods bond the inks to the fibres of the material, which means that your print is as strong as the leather itself - the inks have even passed the Martindale Rub Test, which is used to test durability.
So why do we still use leather to make accessories? Well, if you've ever heard of the phrase "if it's not broken, don't fix it" you will understand that this is exactly why. Leather is incredibly durable, it is flexible and it is available in a variety of textures, thicknesses and levels of rigidity. This, paired with our expert printing techniques, are perfect partners for creating beautiful bespoke leather accessories which will last for years and years to come.
