How your Custom Bedding is Made
All personalised duvet covers are handmade to order guaranteeing an excellent, authentic finish. We print your designs onto the bedding fabric, which is then cut and sewn to size. If you're ordering a double size customised bedding, king-size customised bedding or super king-size customised bedding, we hand stitch separate panels together (see Design Tips for more information), in your choice of stitching pattern stitch colour (choose either black or white thread). We add either press-stud poppers or concealed white zips to your personalised bedding set, ensuring they're discreet. The print quality is high definition, so you can personalise bedding sets online featuring bold colours and fine details.
Design Tips
For the double, king and super king size personalised duvet covers, we need to print separate panels of fabric and stitch them together with a thread colour of your choice. When you design your own duvet cover, you have a choice of three stitching patterns. Please bear in mind when we hand stitch the fabric panels together, it can sometimes mean a small margin of misalignment or part of your design lost in the seams.
- Pattern B
- Pattern C
- Pattern D
If your design doesn't need matching needs at the seams, this will produce an exceptional finish. However, for intricate detailing that needs matching at the seams, please expect some marginal mismatch as everything is handmade to order by our artisan sewers. We don't use machinery as we believe handmade custom bedding is much better quality and authentic.
How does this product enhance my...
Home
Design your own duvet cover to create a harmonious bedroom aesthetic, choosing a design that complements the rest of the decor. The option to make it reversible means you essentially get two custom duvet covers in one, allowing you to easily transform the look and feel of your bedroom. Because they're available in six sizes, from junior to super king, everybody in the home can enjoy a good night's sleep in style.
Business
Add an unexpected finishing touch to hotel rooms with luxury custom duvet covers. Print your own duvet cover with your branding, or elegant motifs that match the style of the rooms, guests will be impressed at these little extras. Themed hotels and guest rooms benefit greatly from bespoke covers, as you have total control over the aesthetic of the room. Another idea is for property developers to include custom bedding into their show-homes, so clients can instantly recognise and remember the brand.
Brand
Bedding is something that everybody needs, but often feel restricted to what is in the shops. Make your own duvet cover and develop a new line of custom duvet covers printed with your original artwork and designs so customers can have a unique piece of merchandise from your store. You could create a range for each season, or if you have collections, develop a whole custom bedding set for each one.
Print Guideline
-
What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
-
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
-
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results. What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
-
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
-
What are the bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
-
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better, finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
-
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
-
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
-
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.
Do you do super king size personalised duvet covers?
Yes, as well as a king, double, single and junior, so you can design your own duvet cover set and guarantee no bed is missed out. The super king personalised duvet covers measure 260 cm x 220 cm, so make sure you measure your bed dimensions.
Will the stitching interfere with my design?
When making double, king or super king size personalised duvet covers, we have to sew separate panels together in your choice of three stitching patterns. In the design interface, you'll be able to see these seams and adjust your design accordingly. You will also be able to choose from black or white thread.
Can I print on the back of personalised duvet covers?
Your custom duvet covers can either be printed with a choice of four colours (soft pink, pale blue, soft lemon or white) or you can print another design on the reverse, giving you reversible custom bedding.
