All About Contrado Canvases

As a printing company with two decades of experience, we take our canvases very seriously. When you create your own canvas, we use all of the best equipment, materials, and printing methods to make sure it's perfect. Here's how we do it:

First, we use sublimation printing to reproduce your design on our sturdy canvas fabric. This involves using a heat press to embed eco-friendly inks deep into the material fibres. This process is what increases the longevity of the prints so that they resist fading throughout the years. The ink is now part of the fabric, so it won't crack or peel. Your photos and art will look highly detailed with striking colours, so your work will be authentic.

Once we're happy with how your print looks, we build the wooden frame. We use FSC certified wood and construct each frame by hand. Canvases are traditionally made with four wedges, but we use eight. This makes your canvas sturdier and more supported so that it will hold up over time. Once the frame is built, our artisans hand-stretch the canvas over the wooden frame.

The final result is impressively durable with a gorgeous print. You'll be able to see the brilliant quality up close, and your canvas will be an eye-catching piece in any room you hang it.
